Mr. Beverly

My Background.......
Hello! My name is Brian Beverly, and I am a certified physical education and health education teacher. I am originally from Woodhaven, Michigan, which is located in the downriver area of Metro Detroit. I now live in Wyandotte. I am a 2007 graduate from Western Michigan University where I earned a Bachelor's Degree of Science majoring in physical education with a health education minor. I received a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership at Concordia College in 2014.

Why I chose this career path....
The reason I wanted to be a health and physical educator is because I truly enjoy both subjects. I am really into any competitive sports, recreational sports, fitness, and health. I currently work out at a local gym and participate in indoor soccer, outdoor soccer, bowling, softball, volleyball and touch football leagues. I strongly believe that living an active healthy lifestyle not only reduces stress and increases quality of life but also can make a person feel happier and more confident in themselves. My goal is to teach students why it is important to live an active, healthy lifestyle as well as what that kind of lifestyle can do for them.

My interests...
I am interested in all professional sports , but I am specifically a Detroit sports fan. I enjoy watching and going to Lions, Pistons, Tigers, and Red Wings games. I am also a die-hard Michigan Wolverine fan. Outside of athletic sports I am really into power sports, cars, and boats. I am big into cars, especially muscle cars, sports cars, and 4x4's. During the winter you can find me up north riding my snowmobile as much as possible. During the summer months I am out on the boat with friends and family almost every weekend. Music is also something that I am very interested in. I love to listen to hard rock and classic rock mostly , but I can handle the occasional country and hip hop songs as well. My family and friends are very important to me as well and I love spending as much time with them as I can.
